Terms of use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use set out how the Qaviar service, available at qaviar.io, may be accessed and used. By using the service, the user accepts these Terms without reservation.
Qaviar is a B2B SaaS platform for automated QA. The service tests web applications automatically through an AI agent, produces quality reports and detects visual and functional regressions.
2. Sign-up and account
Using the service requires an account. The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to keep their credentials confidential.
Each account belongs to an organization. The user who creates the organization is its owner and can invite other members with different levels of access.
Qaviar reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent use or unethical activity.
3. Description of the service
The Qaviar service includes:
- Automated functional QA tests run by an AI agent
- Visual comparison of pages with their Figma designs
- Exact replays of recorded tests
- Detailed PDF reports with screenshots
- Recurring test campaigns
- Detection of visual and functional regressions
- Automated accessibility checks against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules
- Slack notifications and CI/CD integration
The service interacts only with the user interface of the applications under test. Qaviar never has access to the user’s source code, database or infrastructure.
4. Plans and pricing
Qaviar offers several plans (Starter, Growth, Studio, Agency). Use of the service is counted in pearls: an exploration by the AI agent (including a multi-role test or a Figma comparison) costs 10 pearls, and a replay of a recorded test costs 1 pearl, whether it is started by hand, by a campaign or by Monitoring. Each plan includes a number of pearls per month. Current prices, excluding tax, are shown on the Pricing page of the website and on the Billing page of the service. The Agency plan is priced on request.
A free 14-day trial with 200 pearls included is offered at sign-up; the pearls are unlocked once the email address has been verified. No credit card is required during the trial.
Pearls are reset at the start of each monthly subscription period. Unused pearls do not carry over. An exploration that performed no action, or a replay that ran no step, is refunded automatically.
By default, tests are no longer started once the month’s pearls have run out. The owner of the organization can enable overage (Starter, Growth and Studio plans) by setting a monthly cap in euros, excluding tax. Pearls used beyond the included pearls are billed at the plan’s unit price shown on the Billing page, at the end of the period, on a separate invoice charged to the subscription’s payment method. The overage amount cannot exceed the chosen cap: once the cap is reached, tests are no longer started until the next period. If a payment fails, overage is turned off.
5. Acceptable use
The user undertakes to:
- Use the service only to test applications they own or for which they have explicit permission
- Not use the service for malicious purposes (attacks, unauthorized scraping, fraud)
- Not attempt to bypass the limits of the service or its security mechanisms
- Not deliberately overload Qaviar’s systems
- Respect the intellectual property rights of third parties
6. Data and confidentiality
Data produced by tests (screenshots, logs, reports) is stored securely and belongs to the user. Qaviar does not use this data for commercial purposes or to train AI models.
Project variables (credentials, tokens) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. They are decrypted only by the test engine, at the time of the test, and are never sent to the AI.
For more details on how personal data is processed, see our Privacy policy.
7. Availability of the service
Qaviar strives to keep the service available as much as possible. However, Qaviar does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and cannot be held liable for temporary interruptions due to maintenance, updates or force majeure.
Planned maintenance will be announced in advance whenever possible.
8. Intellectual property
The Qaviar service, its code, design and algorithms are the exclusive property of NORNDIS (SASU, SIREN 102 057 957), publisher of Qaviar, a registered trademark. The user is granted a non-exclusive, non-assignable and non-transferable right of use for the duration of their subscription.
Test data produced by the user (reports, screenshots, configurations) remains the property of the user.
9. Limitation of liability
Qaviar provides an automated testing tool. Test results are indicative and do not guarantee that the tested application works. The user alone remains responsible for decisions made on the basis of the reports produced.
Qaviar’s liability is limited to the amounts paid by the user during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
The user can cancel their subscription at any time from their account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Qaviar reserves the right to terminate an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, with reasonable notice except in an emergency (fraudulent activity, security breach).
After termination, the user’s data is kept for as long as the account exists. The user can request its export or permanent deletion at any time at dpo@qaviar.io; requests are handled within 30 days.
11. Changes to these Terms
Qaviar reserves the right to change these Terms. Users will be informed by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Paris shall have sole jurisdiction.
In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the user may refer the matter to a consumer mediator.
